Clients rely on Harinder Basra for strategic legal guidance on complex corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, shareholder activism, corporate governance and general corporate matters. He helps client's structure and execute transactions with confidence, while managing risk and advancing their business objectives.

Harinder advises public and private companies, ranging from startups to multinational issuers listed on the TSX, TSXV and NYSE, private equity funds and investment banks on domestic and cross-border transactions. He has led several significant transactions across a range of industries, including energy, transportation, construction and waste management.  

His M&A experience includes advising on takeover bids, plans of arrangement and corporate reorganizations, acting for both buyers and sellers. In the capital markets space, Harinder acts for issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings, secondary offerings and new issues of equity and debt securities in both Canadian and US markets. He also provides ongoing advice on disclosure obligations, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
